[FFP] Olsr + VPN

Hello, I'm from Brazil, I have a project from my University... I have two Linksys WRT54Gl 1.1 And I need to mount a Mesh Network with OLSR protocol, and after mount a VPN. The questions are: How I Know if the Olsr Protocol is running? How I will mount a VPN? What's better OpenVPN, OpenSwam or other?
